04When should I get my child evaluated?
If you have concerns regarding your child’s development or ability to efficiently communicate, you might consider a comprehensive evaluation to find answers. Some indicators of communication challenges include difficulty following directions, communicating wants and needs efficiently, not being understood by others, failing grades, trouble understanding or expressing emotions, or making and maintaining friendships. If these challenges are impacting daily life, Speech Me Therapy can assist you in determining type of assessments may be appropriate for your child.
05When can I start therapy?
You can expect to receive the report approximately two weeks after all testing and rating scales are completed. Once you've reviewed the report and discussed recommendations, a personalized treatment plan will be created. From there, individualized speech and language therapy can begin right away.
06Is there a cancellation policy?
Please provide notice if changes need to be made to your scheduled appointment. If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, you may be charged a $50 fee.
07How long will my child need intervention services?
Ethically, a speech-language pathologist cannot indicate how many sessions a child will need to make progress with specific speech and language goals. Each child learns and masters skills at different rates. A child's prognosis is impacted by attendance and parent support.
