If you're wondering about speech therapy for your child, you're not alone. We've answered the questions we hear most — and we're always just a call away for the rest.
If you're noticing that your child isn't meeting developmental milestones, is difficult to understand, avoids talking, struggles socially, or is falling behind in reading — a speech-language evaluation is a good next step. Trust your instincts. Parents often notice problems before anyone else does. We offer free 15-minute consultation calls so you can share your concerns without any obligation.
We work with children from infancy through adolescence. Our youngest clients are babies who may be showing early signs of communication delays, and our oldest are teenagers working on executive functioning, social communication, or literacy. We tailor everything to each child's developmental level.
The easiest first step is a free 15-minute consultation call — schedule online or call us directly at (602) 432-4495. We'll listen to your concerns and help you figure out whether an evaluation is the right next step. If you're ready to go straight to an evaluation, we can schedule that directly too. Either way, there's no pressure and no obligation.
No referral is required. You can contact us directly and schedule an evaluation without a physician order. However, if your pediatrician has recommended a speech evaluation, that's a great reason to reach out, and we're happy to coordinate with your child's medical team.
Our evaluations typically take 60–90 minutes. We begin with an in-depth conversation with you about your child's history, development, and your specific concerns. Then we conduct a combination of standardized assessments and informal observation with your child. Afterward, we share our findings and walk you through our recommended plan of care. You'll leave with clear answers and a clear path forward.
Frequency depends on your child's specific diagnosis, goals, and severity. Many children begin with weekly or twice-weekly sessions. Some families begin more intensively and taper as progress is made. We'll make a specific recommendation after the evaluation and revisit it regularly as your child grows.
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some children achieve their goals in a few months; others benefit from longer-term support. Factors include the nature of the diagnosis, severity, frequency of sessions, and how actively the family reinforces goals at home. We set clear, measurable goals and track progress so you always know where things stand.
We use clinically proven, evidence-based approaches matched to each child's specific needs. For speech, this might include DTTC or ReST for motor speech disorders, or cycles-based approaches for phonological patterns. For language, we combine naturalistic developmental strategies with explicit instruction. For literacy, we use structured literacy aligned with Orton-Gillingham principles. We never use an approach just because it sounds appealing — only because the evidence shows it works.
We strongly encourage parent involvement. You're welcome to observe sessions and we regularly incorporate parent coaching so you can support your child between appointments. Some sessions may work better with parents waiting nearby (especially for shy children), but we'll always keep you fully informed about what we're doing and why.
We are a private-pay, out-of-network provider. We do not bill any plan directly. However, we provide detailed superbills (itemized receipts) that you can submit to your plan for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many families with PPO plans receive significant reimbursement. We recommend calling the member services number on your plan before starting to ask about your out-of-network speech therapy benefits. We also accept Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds.
Our rates are $150 for 50-minute individual sessions and $75 for 25-minute sessions. Social group sessions are approximately $75 per child. Evaluation fees vary — please contact us for details. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
Yes. Speech therapy is a qualified medical expense, so Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used to pay for sessions. This is a great way to reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
We understand that therapy is an investment. Please contact us to discuss your financial situation — we want to find a way to make therapy accessible for your family and are happy to discuss flexible payment arrangements.
Research shows that teletherapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many speech and language goals, especially when families are engaged and participating. Some goals and age groups benefit more from in-person — we'll be honest about which format is best for your child's specific needs.
You'll need a device (computer, tablet, or phone) with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space where your child can focus. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform that's easy to use — we'll send you a link before each session.
Yes, absolutely. Our hybrid model is designed to be flexible. Many families do primarily in-person therapy with the option to switch to telehealth when schedules get complicated. Just let us know what works best for you.
