Speech Therapy for Autistic Children

Child-led, neuro-affirming therapy that honors how autistic children communicate — and helps them do it more fully, more joyfully, and on their own terms.

Every Child Communicates — Already

Our job is to expand how they communicate. Not to change who they are.

Autistic children communicate differently — not less. Our therapy honors each child's unique way of connecting while expanding their repertoire, deepening connection, and supporting quality of life. We do not use approaches designed to make autistic children appear neurotypical.

We focus on functional communication: helping children express their needs, preferences, thoughts, and feelings in ways that work for them — whether through spoken language, AAC devices, sign, PECS, or other modalities.

We also invest deeply in supporting families — because when parents truly understand how their child communicates, everything changes at home too.

Areas We Support

  • Functional communication (wants, needs, feelings)
  • AAC evaluation and implementation (high-tech and low-tech)
  • Joint attention and social engagement
  • Receptive and expressive language
  • Social communication (pragmatics)
  • Self-advocacy and choice-making
  • Play and peer interaction
  • Feeding and oral sensory concerns (in collaboration)

How We Support Autistic Children

Neuro-Affirming Practice

We celebrate neurological diversity. Our therapy does not aim to suppress autistic traits — it aims to support communication, well-being, and quality of life.

Child-Led Sessions

We follow the child's lead, interests, and motivation. Engagement and connection come first — because a regulated, engaged child learns.

AAC: All Communication Counts

We are trained in AAC assessment and implementation. Whether your child uses a high-tech device, PECS, sign, or is building vocal speech — all communication is valid and celebrated.

Family Partnership

We train families extensively. Understanding how your child communicates and how to create rich communication opportunities at home is essential to progress.

Collaborative Care

Autistic children often work with OTs, psychologists, and educators. We coordinate with your child's full team to ensure consistent, complementary support.

Evidence-Based Methods

We use naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBIs), which are the most rigorously researched approaches for autistic children, including JASPER and ESDM-aligned techniques.

Your Child Has So Much to Say.

We believe that with everything we have. Let's work together to help them say it — in whatever way is most natural and powerful for them.
